Description
Evening primrose oil is a natural oil extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose plant (Oenothera biennis). This plant is native to North America and is named for its evening flowering properties (the flowers open in the moonlight). Evening primrose oil is rich in a variety of active ingredients, the most notable of which is gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid that accounts for 8-14% of its fatty acid composition. In addition, it also contains linoleic acid, oleic acid, vitamin E and other ingredients.
Function:
1. Skin Health
Moisturizing and Repairing: GLA can enhance the skin barrier function and relieve inflammatory skin diseases such as dryness, eczema, and psoriasis.
Anti-Aging: Vitamin E and antioxidant ingredients help reduce free radical damage and delay skin aging.
2.Women's Health
Relieve Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS): Studies have shown that GLA can regulate prostaglandin balance and relieve premenstrual symptoms such as breast tenderness and mood swings.
