Description
Purple Corn, native to the Andes, has extremely high phenolic compounds and Anthocyanidins. Purple Corn is a variety of corn endemic to Peru with purple cobs and kernels. Purple corn is a treasure in the purple (black) corn family, so purple corn is also known as "black corn", because the grain is shaped like a pearl, it is called "black pearl".
Tested by China Agricultural Grain Quality Supervision and Testing Center, it contains 18 kinds of amino acids, 21 kinds of essential trace elements and a variety of vitamins and natural pigments, especially rich in element selenium, zinc, iron and calcium, etc. The main chemical composition of Purple Corn is Anthoyanidins, which is a blue-red flavonoid that is the source of red, purple, purplish red and blue colors in plants.
