Description
Horsetail (Equisetum arvense), a herb whose use dates back at least to ancient Rome and Greece, has traditionally been used to stop bleeding, treat ulcers and wounds, and treat tuberculosis and kidney disease. The plant's stems contain large amounts of silica and silicic acid, which help repair fractures and form collagen, an important protein found in connective tissue, skin, bones, cartilage and ligaments.
Horsetail Extract is also used to treat urinary infections, kidney and bladder stones, and as a topical treatment for burns and trauma. Its best known use is as a mild diuretic ("drainage drug ") to increase urination and reduce edema, and as a treatment for a variety of bladder and kidney problems, including kidney stones and bladder infections. Horsetail extract is an excellent astringent for the urogenital system, reducing bleeding and treating wounds due to its extremely high silica content. It is also highly valuable in the treatment of incontinence and bedwetting in young children. It is thought to be a potent agent for inflammation or benign enlargement of the prostate.
Function:
1. Promotes Bone Formation;
2. Decreases Inflammation;
3. Lowers Blood Pressure;
4. Lowers Blood Sugar;
5. Promotes Hair Growth;
6. Helps Improve Brittle Nails;
7. Heals Wounds and Relieves Burns;
8. Treats Edema;
9. Improves Joint Diseases.
10. Antimicrobial.
